KHV, is an internationally acclaimed male musical group which was launched on 23rd December 1990, and was officially registered as a Non-Profit Company (NPO) on 03 March 2017.

Mission Statement
“Let us harmonise together”
KHV are pioneers of an exciting and new music genre called Accafussion, which was introduced in May 2018. This type of music is a fusion of their trademark acapella and other music genres.
Members
The group consists of 11 performing artists from different denominations, who are dedicated to their music call. Their melodies and lyricism are a winning combination. They also have Office bearers, Honorary and Associate members from different backgrounds.
Comprising of Dumisani Manana, Jimmy Ndimande, Themba Ndoda Tshefu, Simon Moruakgomo, Sibusiso Langa, Saxola Mbeki, Sibusiso Gumbi, Zakhele Ndima ka Madondo, Thabo Rasehlapa; Kenny Tyulube, and Mandla Dlamini. The music lovers are in for a treat.
Albums
The group has recorded four albums, “It’s Not an Easy Road”, “Ungumalusi Wami”; “Dumisani uJehovah” as well as “You’ve got to do right”.
KHV, as they are affectionately known, have managed to blend Western Christian songs, indigenous African songs, tradicall and traditional acapella music. The group delivers the song in unique style and grace, ensuring that acapella music does not perish. Collaborations with other music genres is welcomed and encouraged.
They have enhanced the appeal of these songs such that their influence has spread to various church denominations and communities. They have succeeded in simplifying music in that their songs are sung at funerals, weddings, parties, inauguration, and graduation ceremonies, launches, thanksgiving ceremonies, cultural events, political and social gatherings.
KHV has produced amongst its members, Music Writers and Composers, Arrangers and Re-arrangers of music and song, Music Adjudicators, Choir Conductors, Programme Directors as well as Motivational and Inspirational Speakers.
They train various community choirs, their focus being on breath control, diction, intonation, pitch, phrasing, analysing, interpretation, tone and quality, and many other aspects related to singing.

They have performed in several places locally and internationally, having received invitations from governmental and non-governmental organisations.
Achievements and perfomances
These are some of the events they have performed at:
- The group performed at the launch of Alf Kumalo’s book “THROUGH MY LENSE” held on the 16th October 2009 at the Nelson Mandela Foundation in the city of Joburg.
- They also sang at his funeral held at the St Michael’s Anglican Church of Bryanston on the 27th October 2012, which was attended amongst others by former president Thabo Mbeki, Winnie Madikizela Mandela, George Bizos and a number of local and international journalists
- On the 14th May 2012, the group had the honour of performing in Pretoria at the inauguration ceremony of Ombudsman General TT Matanzima, where among other dignitaries were the likes of Minister Lindiwe Sisulu, Advocate Thuli Madonsela, General Bantubonke Holomisa and Political Analyst Somadoda Fikeni. They shared a stage with veteran musician Abigail Kubheka.
- KHV has on numerous occasions shared the stage with the South African Police Services (SAPS) Brass Band, performing the Christmas Carols during Festive Seasons.
- They have performed at the Oppenheimer residence as they were welcoming an overseas based musical group, The Whoof Puffers from Yale University, and again during award ceremonies and thanksgiving for employees.
- Zanele Mthembu (Chief Director of Basic Education Department) Music Album launch at the Gold Reef City Tsogo Sun Hotel, on the 05 May 2013.
- In November 2013, the group was invited to perform at the banquet organised for His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu in Nigeria. They spent a week performing at various states such as Lagos, and Calabar.
- In August 2014, the group was invited by the Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga to perform at a function organized for Women’s Month at Birchwood Hotel.
- 03 January 2015 KHV was on the programme during the burial of Mama Caroline Mamoteng Motsoaledi; mother to Dr Aaron Motsoaledi the Minister of Health, at Orlando Communal Hall in Soweto.
- Sharing the stage with music icons Marah Louw, Abigail Kubheka and Joe Mafela they performed at Diepkloof Hall in honour of Actor/Singer Washington Sixolo for his contribution to the artistic world.
- May 2015 KHV toured the Kingdom of Swaziland promoting their new CD.
- Also performed in honour of Marah Louw for her contribution in the music industry at the Soweto Diepkloof Hall on 10 August 2015.
- Men on Track event hosted by Bishop Mthimkhulu on the 3rd October 2015 at the Vaal Emerald Casino also featured KHV as the performing group.
- Among other special days KHV also render services in celebration of Mothers’ and Fathers’ day respectively at different functions. Also observing other important calendar days as per the Global Calendar of events.
- KHV has been interviewed on numerous occasions in radio stations such as Jozi FM, Rainbow FM, Joyous Radio station, BCS open channel, and had television appearances in programs such as Hosana (SABC2), Gospel Gold (SABC1), Soweto TV and Africa Magic.
- The highlight of 2015 was KHV’s concert held on 15 November 2015 at the Joburg Theatre.
- 2016 also started with a bang with a mouth-watering concert held at the Diepkloof Hall in Soweto on 28 February featuring the legendary Marah Louw.
- The group was again featured at the Soweto Theatre on 1st May 2016 at a concert, sharing the stage with Jerusalema e Ncha and Hophethehile Clap and Tap choirs.
- The first 2017 elite event to have featured KHV was the launch of The Sheep Gate Ministry held on the 7th January, under the leadership of Pastor Bongani Manyisa.
- Following that, was the recognition event held in honour of legendary Dickson Malele who is known to have developed giants such as the famous Mbongeni Ngema. This event took place on 15 January 2017.
- On 1 February 2017, KHV performed at Uncle Toms Hall – Soweto in a memorial service held for the late legendary Mme Thandi Klassen, sharing the stage with musicians such as Marah Louw, Thapelo Mofokeng, Tu Nokwe, Khaya Mahlangu and Lorraine Klassen to mention but a few. The event was graced by the presence of MEC Faith Mazibuko, responsible for Arts and Culture in the Gauteng Province.
- And again, they hosted their first, KHV concert of the year 2017, with the theme “Happy Socks” on 12 March at Diepkloof Recreation Centre with Marah Louw as the guest artist. Lorraine Klassen was also scheduled to perform as one of the guest artists.
- On 21 March 2017, Human Right’s Day, a women’s organisation called Dorcas Women in Action (DWA), under the leadership of Mrs N. Qomoyi, presented the elderly with food parcels and gifts at Meadowlands Zone 9 Soweto. KHV was there to grace the occasion.
- These Legends in the making were also the sole performing artists at the launch of icon Marah Louw’s autobiography book titled “It’s Me Marah” on the 29 March 2017 at Vilakazi Restaurant in Orlando West Soweto.

- The highlight of 2017 came on 5 June when KHV alongside Marah Louw were amongst the entertainment line up at the Naledi Theatre Awards held at Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre. This performance was dedicated to paying tribute to thespians who passed on between May 2016 and May 2017.
- On 8 June KHV featuring Marah Louw again paid tribute to the late actor and musician Washington Sixolo at a memorial service held in Soweto, Uncle Tom’s hall.
- On 26 and 27 July 2017, Kings of Harmony Voices appeared on ‘THE QUEEN’, which is televised on Mzansi Magic channel 161. They were singing at the ‘Memorial service and Funeral’ of Robo-Cop. Group Leader Dumisani Manana also featured as ‘Pastor’ on this Telenovela.
- On 27 September 2017 the group had the privilege of hosting and rehearsing with the international ladies’ group, The Baobab Sisters from Denmark under the leadership of Rikke Forchhammer. Stanley Bodibe being the man behind giving KHV the opportunity to host and give the Denmark sisters a taste of Soweto.
- On 1 October 2017, the group shared the stage with the Baobab sisters wowing the crowd with their South African blend of music. KHV also shared the stage with the famous Marah Louw once again on that day. Among other performing artists was gospel singer Deborah Fraiser. All this in celebration of Siphiwe “Malume” Msimango’s birthday which was held at Diepkloof Hall in Soweto.
- KHV sang alongside Marah Louw once more at the “Movember” men’s event hosted by the University of Johannesburg at The Country Club, Auckland Park. The event took place on 10 November 2017 and was in connection with men eradicating all forms of abuse and focusing on self-introspection.
- The group performed at a glittering Gala dinner at Emperors Palace, Ekurhuleni on 18 November 2017. This was Olumba Olumba Obu’s annual birthday celebration and was hosted for the first time outside Nigeria where His Holiness originates.
- On 02 December 2017 KHV visited Tsakane Old Age Home in Ekurhuleni. They spent quality time with the seasoned senior citizens as they were receiving gifts and food parcels for the Festive season. On the same day, the group visited the sick in the area and gave them hope and strength by singing and dancing.
- The Revelation Church of God under Doctor Prophet Radebe hosted a Christmas function in honour of Senior Citizens on 13 December 2017. The event, which was organised by The Radebe Foundation, enabled the gogos to listen, dance and ululate to music rendered by KHV and Marah Louw at the African Centre of Excellence in Johannesburg.
- Kings of Harmony Voices performed alongside Marah Louw at the official opening of The ANC 54th National Elective Conference held at Nasrec (Soweto) – Johannesburg on 16 December 2017, singing the National Anthem.
- KHV entertained special guests and dignitaries at the CPASSA (College Principals and Academic Staff South Africa) forum 2018. The event was hosted at Rahima Moosa Nursing College, formerly Coronation Hospital on 23 February 2018. This was a brainstorming session for the health sector from all corners of the country.
- On 22 April 2018, the group was invited to perform at the ECC (EThekwini Community Church) in Durban for the Birthday celebration of its founder and leader, Prophet Pastor Vusi Dube.
- On 6 May 2018, the Group recorded an EP at Downtown Studios. The songs “UMthuthuzeli ukhona”; “Kwelamabhongo”; “Hallelujah Dumisani” and Title song “You’ve got to do Right” were recorded.
- On May 2019, the EP was later increased to full album in May 2019 with songs such as, “Vuselel’ukholo”, “Wangifela esiphambanweni”, “Enqabeni sizocasha”, “Indodana Yolahleko”, “Va tsakile vo kokwani”, and “Uthando lwakhe”.
- The group finally bid goodbye to year 2018 with their grand finale concert together with “Hophethehile” and “Lejwe la Motheo” clap and tap choirs at the Soweto Theatre on 25 November.
- Apostle Jwili of OAC (Old Apostolic Church) invited KHV to celebrate with Matriculants. The event was organised by Gauteng Department of Education officials, Chief Director Zanele Mthembu and Maths Examiner Zanele Tshabalala on12 January 2019.
- KHV together with Marah Louw and Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse paid tribute at the memorial service of the late mama Dorothy Masuku at Joburg Theatre on 01 March 2019, and again during the funeral service held on 03 March 2019 at UJ (University of Johannesburg) Soweto Campus. “Nkosi sihlangene” was the song they collaborated on to bid farewell to this great legend.
- The group received an invitation from PLWC church under his excellency Bishop DC Nkosi where they shared the stage and quality time with Pastor Sthembiso Zondo, who gave a moving motivational sermon. The event took place in Zondi, Soweto on 1 April 2019.
- On 10 May 2019, the group performed at a farewell function of former MEC of Gauteng Health, Dr Gwen Ramokgopa, held at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg.
- Following the EP that was recorded in May last year, a full album titled “You’ve got to do right” was released together with a single “Thuma Mina” in May 2019.
- Bishop Joshua Maponga extended an invite to the group to perform at his 50th Birthday Gala Dinner on 6 July 2019 held at AFM Kempton Park.
- And again, on 1 August 2019, the group was also featured to perform at The People’s Poet, Mzwakhe Mbuli’s 50th Birthday Celebration Gala Dinner held at the Soweto Theatre.
- A fundraising Gala Dinner at Tshepo-Hope & Counselling Centre in Tsakane, Ekurhuleni, held at Menzi Primary School, on 3 August 2019 featured KHV as the main performing group.
- On 23 November 2019, KHV held its annual concert at the Soweto Theatre.
Themed “A Night with Kings of Harmony Voices”, the group performed live for the first time their new “Accafussion” brand.
- The Year 2020 saw the group dominating on Social Media raising safety and awareness on the Coronavirus pandemic. #Be Safe. #khvmusic
- On 28 September 2020, the group recorded a single “Umhlobo onguJesu”, and a Medley “Yawa Imbewu” at the AMPD Studios in Newtown, Jhb.
- On 14 November 2020, KHV partnered with Mayibuye Distributors for the sole purpose of marketing and promoting the group.
16 December 2020 KHV celebrated their 30th Anniversary at a private glittering event held at Red Cap Ranch, in Carletonville, Westrand.
